UnWorry — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

UnWorry ("we", "our", "us") is a mobile application that helps you track, reflect on, and manage your worries. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a secure password hash. We do not store your password in plain text.

2.2 UnWorry Entries

You may create journal entries that include worry descriptions, categories, intensity ratings, outcomes, and resolution notes. This content is stored securely and is associated with your account.

2.3 App Usage Data

We collect basic usage analytics such as screen views, feature usage frequency, and crash reports to improve the app experience. This data is anonymized and cannot be used to identify you personally.

2.4 Subscription Information

If you subscribe to UnWorry Premium, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not collect or store your payment card details. We receive a confirmation of your subscription status only.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the UnWorry service
• To sync your journal entries across your devices
• To generate your personal worry statistics and weekly reports
• To manage your subscription and premium access
• To send important service notifications (e.g., security alerts)
• To improve app stability and fix bugs

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (hosted on AWS). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement row-level security policies to ensure only you can access your own data.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or journal entries with third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics that cannot identify any individual user. We will disclose data only if required by law or valid legal process.

6. Your Data Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: You can request a copy of all data we hold about you.
• Export: You can export your journal entries at any time from the app Settings screen.
• Correction: You can edit or update your journal entries and account information within the app.
• Deletion: You can delete individual entries, or request complete deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@unworry.app. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
• Portability: Exported data is provided in a standard JSON format for easy transfer.

To exercise any of these rights, use the in-app settings or contact us at support@unworry.app. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data and journal entries are permanently removed within 30 days. Anonymized usage analytics may be retained indefinitely.

8. Children's Privacy

UnWorry is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Cookies and Tracking

The UnWorry mobile app does not use cookies. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Basic analytics are collected using privacy-respecting tools with no cross-app tracking.

Optional AI features (not yet available)

UnWorry currently sends no journal content to any artificial-intelligence service. Your insights and statistics are computed directly from the entries on your own account. If optional AI-powered insights are introduced in a future version, they will be strictly opt-in, the AI provider will be named here, and this policy will be updated before any such feature is activated.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
